At 360i, we took the opportunity to launch Subway’s new product, guacamole. Simultaneously launching the official Subway Snapchat channel with a 24 hour guacamole themed pun-storm. Because #WhyTheGuacNot?
Driven by insights we recognized strong equity for guacamole on social channels, and we all know the internet loves a good groan inducing pun. The day before the launch we teased our Twitter audience with a Subway Snapchat ghost, and spent the entire next day rolling out different guac themed puns and videos.
The stunt earned tens of thousands of followers on the first day and broke Snapchat benchmarks at the time.
